Midwest WingFest 2010 originated as a regional chicken wing cookoff.  Although we will always stay true to our roots, we have evolved to a full blown food festival.  Last year we nailed the perfect location, this year we followed our dream and due to popular demand, we are growing to two days.  On Friday, August 31st and Saturday September 1st, in Fairview Heights, IL an estimated 25 - 30 area vendors will be invited to compete for top honors in both hot wing and gourmet categories. The Location for the event is the East parking lot of Dillard’s at St. Clair Square in Fairview Heights.

Honors will go to the “Best Hot Wing” and “Best Gourmet Wing.” Top honors will be awarded to the “Midwest WingFest 2012 Best Wing.” Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded. A “People’s Choice” award will also be selected through festival attendee ballots.

Our first two years have been a major success. We were Illinois Distributing’s number one first year event. Over 96,000 wings were sold each year among many other food items. We look forward to partnering with you to make this year’s WingFest an even greater event for the city, our vendors and most important, our charities.

Expect to see almost all of the vendors from last year plus many, many more.  Check out amazing wing recipes from area restaurants, non-profit organizations and just a bunch of average joe’s, all competing to be the Wing King.

Although we are a dedicated Wing Fest, you can expect to see an amazing array of foods.  If you can think of it, you will probably find it is WingFest. Over the last two years, we have seen everything from Italian nachos to chili dogs to pig snoots to, of course, a million different variations of our beloved CHICKEN WINGS.
