WHAT IS MIDWEST WINGFEST?
We started Midwest WingFest on a wing and a prayer to create an all-out food and music festival with a mission to raise money for a great cause by way of one of the largest food and music festivals in the area. It has now grown to become an epic annual showdown where local restaurants and organizations come together to prove who really has the best wings in town while raising money for combat wounded soldiers (Purple Heart Recipients) and the families of fallen soldiers.
This event, held outside of St. Clair Square on the east parking lot attracts tens of thousands of wing lovers from far and wide to enjoy two days of celebrating chicken wings, good music, and good drinks all while raising money for a great cause. Many of our food vendors choose charities to support as well. "If we have upwards of 20 amazing food vendors all supporting charities think of all the good we can do while having an awesome entertainment-filled weekend," Said WingFest Founder Doug Shoemaker.
Vendors will compete for Best Gourmet Wing, Best Hot Wing, and Best Overall Wing. If cooking wings ain't your thang, perhaps eating them will be right up your alley. We have an adult and teen wing eating contest as well.
Join us as Midwest WingFest returns in 2022! Come out and enjoy one of the greatest weekends of the year and help us raise money to support Combat wounded and fallen soldiers
