Their current program provides mental health services, PTSD education for families of those suffering from PTSD, physical fitness and confidence building opportunities. Climb for PTSD’s name derives from monthly climbs outreach and awareness climbs and symbolize the lifting of the burden of PTSD from veterans’ shoulders to others and carrying them to a higher level of health.
ABOUT Climb for PTSD:
We fill a gap in mental health and other services for Veterans living with PTSD. Under current conditions, veterans have to wait months to receive the therapy they need through government services. Our program addresses that need immediately and for as long as they need it.
Most insurance companies cover a minimum number of mental health visits. In the vast majority of cases, they do not cover enough visits to achieve the life changing success we expect for our clients living with PTSD. Our mental health services and Project Renew Program do achieve the results we expect.
Our approach has shown to reduce the amount of medications patients take, prescription dosages, frequency of suicidal thoughts or ideations and improves the quality of daily living.
Our eclectic approach is designed to empower veterans and others living with PTSD to regain or renew their purpose in life and create a new future that they did not think was possible. Therapy, dog training, adventure nights, peer bonding and physical fitness all come together to provide a growing experience for our guests. We are the only such program within 250 miles.
